Director’s Biography

Kamran Hooshmandian ( Born 7 January 1991 ) is an Iranian scriptwriter and film director. Born and raised in Shiraz. He studied business management at Shiraz university to his father’s decision but he was interested in acting since childhood and he continued his enthusiasm on his own. 

He started acting in theater since 2006 and after that, he find himself interested in writing and directing. Now He is continuing his job as a director, scriptwriter & actor.

The Creator’s concern to make this movie and using symbolic Pandora box is how to react after irreparable damage which contains: acceptance, growth, or unfortunately to end life.

Pandora box is a myth that releases all evil’s humanity but hope got stuck in the box with them, so that’s why we say there’s always hope in misery.

 "Acid attack victim"

Marzieh Ebrahimi is one of the famous victims of the acid attack incident in Iran. She, who was working as a midwife in one of Iran's hospitals in 2013, was exposed to acid attack by a motorcyclist while returning home in her car. After this incident,she stayed away from her social life, work and goals for a while. She, along with some other victims of this incident, formed a campaign to ban the sale and purchase of acid. After almost 10 years and by performing 30 surgeries on his face, he has almost returned to a normal life.

 "Acid attack"

Acid attack is one of the most violent forms of violence and may in some cases lead to the victim's death. An acid attack is an attack that is not intended to kill, but usually to seek revenge and destroy the victim's life and is a form of domestic violence. Acid attack is more common in countries that are not well off regarding social and economic development and where there is a gender gap and violence against women and children.

In Iranian society, acid attacks increased in the past 10 years, and ninety percent of the victims were women.

 "Pandora's box"

Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology connected with the myth of Pandora in Hesiod's Works and Days. He reported that curiosity led her to open a container left in the care of her husband, thus releasing physical and emotional curses upon mankind. Later depictions of the story have been varied, while some literary and artistic treatments have focused more on the contents than on Pandora herself.
