"Ballerina" short film
Ballerina
Ballerina

synopsis

Mana is an 8-year-old ballerina.

She has prepared for a group dance performance along with her friends and the coach. The presence of men is prohibited in the hall before the start of the performance, and it is said to the group that only women have the right to watch the performance.

Mana does not have mother and there is no one to watch her performance except her father. She comes on stage, but does not see her father.

The performance starts, but Mana does not dance...

She leaves the hall and goes to the area outside the hall.

She sees her father there.

Children join Mana and perform the dance outside the hall in front of their parents (both their fathers and mothers).

Statement

The short film “Ballerina” was our effort to exhibit the restrictions of our country and capturing people in a big prison.

We wanted to show artists grown up in the fence from childhood and even forced to display their art in the fence. Ballerina refers to the story of the protest of a child from the heart of this society.

It shows our view of a society involved in gender issues and separating men and women; besides showing the shadow of fear and ruin over a society full of talent and ability.

Ballerina is a film admiring humanity far from gender boundaries.

As filmmakers and screenwriters, our concern today is to exhibit these restrictions; maybe it is a flip to arouse the global attention.
