Interview with Mojtaba Salimian actor of "childish" short film

- Tell us about your biography and artistic background?

I am Mojtaba Salimian, born in 1988 in Tehran, I entered the field of art and acting since 2021, And so far, I have a history of acting in two short films, The childish directed by Vahid Qanatabadi and the film Eight Twenty-Five Minutes in the Morning directed by Malek Nejad Hosseini.

- What made you choose acting?

Since 2017, I have been working on social media (Instagram) making short clips, mostly with comedy topics, but it was not done it continuously, I saw the reaction of the people (followers) to said that you are a good actor and you have talent, so I decided to pursue this profession seriously since 1400

- What is your goal in acting?

Basically, I love art and especially acting, because I believe that art originates from the human soul and is a beautiful blessing that God has only given to man. With acting, I enter into challenges where I can put myself in the form of people who may be very different from others. We don't have the same personality, but the fact that I am experiencing their lives for a while in the role of those people is enjoyable, when you are in the role of a guise, a policeman or a criminal, an addict or a psychologist is enjoyable for me, and I like to act in any role that I am in such a way that the audience believes that I have exactly the same character.

- What was your motivation for playing this movie?

Well, this movie was a good experience for me because I played a role that was not mentioned much in our cinema That a boy can be abuse in his childhood and youth, and these misfortunes can accompany him for years and bother him. Many people may not like to accept such a role because of traditional beliefs or common misconceptions. But I liked this role.

- Tell us about the challenges and problems you faced in your work?

The big challenge of this film was that it had been done in a very short time. You may not believe that this work was done in only three day, one day of filming, One day of voice and music and one day of editing. Well, of course, with this short time and the low budget, I think we did a great job, because the film conveys a great concept to the audience, which was less discussed until now.

- What is your expectation and vision for the movie?

My expectation is that the audience will see this movie with an expert view, because it deals with a very important and influential topic in the society. I hope the film can accept in various festivals.
