synopsis:
Fortieth hope? Or the twenty-eighth woman!?
Its a monodrama about a disease entering the community, the men of this village die and only the women survive. We hear the story from the last living man who is moments away from death.
The women are afraid of the destruction of their generation, but they still have hope, because there is a pregnant woman in this village. There are still humans on earth but the village prefers to have local marriages only (only people from this village). All women are waiting to see if the baby is a girl or a boy. He is a boy. His name is Omid (Omid in Persian means hope)
After he grows up and marries to four girls left in the village, no children are born and everyone thinks that Omid is barren. Now the boy is waiting in a house.
Is it the news of her infertility or the arrival of a baby? Or a stranger's courtship?
