A review about " The domestic" short film by Mahsa Alinaghian

"The domestic" short film written and directed by Mohammad Hossein Karimi is a shocking narrative of poverty and injustice. “The domestic” is a naturalistic film that tells its story in 26 minutes, which is full of social themes. At first, the author introduces the characters one by one and introduces their behaviors and their lifestyle to the audience. Then the challenge of their life becomes bigger and bigger until it reaches the final disaster. The Characters behavior and performance are the result of poverty and oppression in which they are trapped.

Hormoz and Mahi are the parents whose hurt their children without wanting to, because of the general thought and the Fear of judgment and mental problems. The father thinks that the only way to free his daughter is to force her to marry at a young age. The elder brother of the family, who is more caring than the others, cannot protect his family because of the poverty, and the younger children are both victims of this situation.

These  concepts such as lack of justice, wrong laws, and addiction, which may not fit in a short film; However, the other elements of the film, such as directing, acting and the whole crew have worked properly so the film reaches a good quality.
