Director’s Statement:

“The screenplay of Situation is based on a short story written by myself. The theme focuses on passive state of people’s lives and losing their interests due to lack of hope and motivation in life: Loneliness and staying inside the cave from which nobody can save us but ourselves.”

Director’s Biography:

HamedZarifiEsfahani was born in August 1985 in Esfahan, Iran. He is graduated from Drama department with focus on Acting. He entered in Cinema industry in 2011 as a set design assistant. He has participated in production of movies such as:

 "Depression"

There is no accurate information available about depression statistics in Iran, but reliable sources have stated that the rate of depression is 12.5% annually, which is increasing exponentially. This statistic also shows the 67% prevalence of depression in the Iran community. Depression is one of the most common mental disorders, which is called a state of sadness that is opposed to hope. In fact, having an uncertain future or achieving goals in an uncertain manner increases the cause of depression in society.

"Loneliness"

Loneliness is actually a state of mind that causes people to feel empty, rejected, and unwanted. Loners often crave human connection, but their state of mind makes it difficult to connect constructively with others.

In the short film "situation", we see the life and challenges of a boy who is passive and struggle with loneliness.
